For over 35 years we have offered a safe and secure environment where children between two years old and school age can have fun while they learn through play. We consider playgroup to be an extension of the home as well as preparation for school and life.

We have a very experienced, fully qualified and professional team that will ensure that the children attending our playgroup will have a lot of fun and get the best possible care whilst developing and learning.

We are a charity and keep the hourly rate as low as possible for those without government funding.

About Us

St Peter's Playgroup (charity registration: 1167833) provides school term time sessional childcare (08:30 to 15:00 Monday to Friday). The playgroup is registered with the Charity Commission and was founded in 1983. Playgroup provides preschool activities for children aged 2 years to school age. Children learn through play and playgroup is regulated by OFSTED (rated good) and Kent County Council. The children leave ready for school. We also help children who have special education needs (SEN). We accept both children who are government funded and those that do not qualify for funding (fee paying). We keep our non-funded rates as low as possible as we appreciate the difficulties some families may have.
